So in a about a week I will take a $10 Greyound bus from San Yisidro to Ensenada and I am looking forward to it. I am trying to decide what makes sense for me and one option is to find an apartment or small house to rent in the Ensenada area. I have never been there before so the least I could do is go and take a look for myself.
So I have a few questions:
1. Is it a realistic goal to actually find a small house or small cottage to rent in Ensenada? Or am I limited to apartment living. Oh, I should metion that my income is $900/month so I can spend around $300-350/month for rent.
2. When I first get to Ensenada I will need a place to stay. Any suggestions? I would much prefer my own room as opposed to a dorm in a hostel.
3. In terms of looking for an apartment or a house...any suggestions as the best places to look? Are there websites? Any newspapers that are in English? My Spanish is limited although I very much want to learn so if there are no English newspapers that will just give me another chance to improve my Spanish?
4. Any other thoughts, advise, warnings in terms of Ensenada living.
Yep.....I can see him go by on the (Quota Toll road) in the bus from my picture window in Puerto Neuvo overlooking the ocean.
$100 a month will be a price for living in a Camper or small trailer on some lot (housekeeper I had one time did).
Aspirations are nice at times but then reality does stick it's ugly head up also.
As I said in another post there are many rentals between Primo Tapia and Rosarito....you need a car to see them.
Was in Rosarito the last two days trying to get a car part for my engine repair (I'm a mechanic) and a guy was at an intersection waving a sign ($250 Peso for room rent next to beach) Exchange rate.....12.20 pesos to $1.00.
