Hi. We are a family trying to find out the best place, event or activity where to stay on these days outdoor. We are that kind of family that don't like to plan too much about it, so we finally end up going to a Orlando's Park in the last minute. However, this year we want to do it different and in Miami, but we just can't find a good plan to do.

We normally stay all together in a relative's house with kids and stuffs even though there are no kids this year, so we were thinking in having a X-mas Miami experience outdoor. We heard about enchanted forest and it looks attractive to stay in. And in regarding with New year, well, we went to the Happy New Year Bay side event the last year and it was kind of cool about the fireworks; nonetheless, it doesn't justify the overcrowded traffic and people around just for 5 minutes of fun. It gives the impression that every "too free Miamian" goes there.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for ur answers.

I know those are downers, but you can also see alligators - and if you are lucky you can see panthers.

I heard there are crocodiles on the islands of Byscayne bay. You can take a boat tour around; it's very entertaining, especially for the kids.

Isn't New Years all about 5 minute of fun, unless you get drunk early?

Downtown Fort Lauderdale riverwalk is also cool for New Years. There are more festival stands and down-to-earth bars nearby, though the fireworks are not as good as Bayside. In my experience, parking is not terribly bad in either place, if you just go directly to the city garage and walk a few blocks.
