That is a good possibility considering the father missed the custody hearing and also calling in the emergency 911 stating the 2 -year-old accidently did it.

I pretty sure someone seen him come and go from that place, That story is fishy as hell. Did they dust the weapon for prints?

That's just basic procedure, but for many reasons, fingerprints are no longer used to determine who did it or not. They use the fingerprints for a more reliable testing, but I'm not sure what exactly is that they do.
