Looking for different neighborhoods in Miami. Here's some info/criteria
Need a place that's dog friendly
From Maryland
Go to church, specifically methodest
Looking for a good place to raise a family.
Somewhere safe to live, and be outdoors
Somewhere I can play basketball in the driveway
At the most, 30 minutes away from malls, grocery stores, ect...

Is there a good neighborhood like this, or is there no place like this in Miami?

There are plenty. Price is the key! Want to be in the city or some of the bordering suburbs like Miami Beach or Coral Gables then you need high price range. What some suburbs farther away like Miami Lakes then a medium price range. Have a lower price ranger then some Broward suburbs or even farther away from Miami suburbs in Miami-Dade can work. There is NO place in the metro area that is more then 10min from a shopping plaza/grocery store and 15-20mins from a good mall. Miami is a very small metro area land wise. There are TONS of areas like that but price ranger is what decides where.

Miami Lakes is a great suggestion. I would also add Miami Springs, Miami Shores and Biscayne Park. All great areas with small-town feel despite being in a large metro area.

North Bay Road and Bay Point fit very well also. Without price info we cannot really give the best suggestions.

Alright, thanks for the replies. Let's just say this is rhetorical. Just no price too outrageous.

Miami Lakes is a terrible suggestion! It is starting to get really really ghetto. I have a friend that lived there for 20 years and they are selling their house because their cars have been vandalized several times and 5 houses in their neighborhood was broken into. The problem in Miami is that the really bad ghetto areas are starting to spill over into the nice areas because of over population. Be ready to pay over $1200 a month on a mediocre 2 bedroom apartment.

More than likely it's not from the ghetto spilling in, but spoiled well to do kids trying to act 'gangster'.

We had some similar issues in La Jolla California. Google the Bird Rock Bandits.

Miami Lakes is not Ghetto, Ghettos do not get cars vandalized people get killed and drugs are everywhere. My family lives in one of the most expensive and safest neighborhoods in Florida and they even have problems like that. Its young kids.

Exactly what I was thinking. Probably the same little brats that dress like gangsters and then get picked up in there parents $55,000 Mercedes at the movie theaters.
