Yep there are a few bad apples in a police deparment with some over 2,500 officers. You do understand that hundreds if not thousands of people are charged with a DUI every day. It only makes the news when someone like a Police officer, politcian, famous doctor, teacher, judge etc.. gets it.

Do I think this is bad and wrong of course, he should lose his job. But it is only news becaue he is an officer.

A Miami police officer is accused of driving 120 mph on a turnpike because he was late for his off-duty job working security at a school.

If people had the right to defend themselves from police officers engaging in criminal behavior this would not be a problem.
