I grew up going to crandon Park and I always thought that was a great family beach with great sand and the water was always warm and clear

I am surprised nobody has mentioned Haulover beach. That is great beach (sarcasm).

You need to visit Siesta Key in Sarasota. A wonderful beach if the sand is your thing. Think starch. That's what the sand is like there, color and grain.



Me, I don't spend much time on the sand, I need to be in the water and have *some* waves.

I guess, but I was able to ride them.

P.S. there were actually no swimming flags up that day. And the shore break was pretty nasty.

Why sarcasm? It's probably one of the best beaches in South Florida.
