Go to Calle Ocho (SW 8th street). They are all over the place.

If you are going to get a guayabera, please please please do yourself a favor and get a good one. If not, you will end up getting something that looks like a boxy men's pajama top with some cheesy lace on the front! ROTFLMAO Ramon Puig on 8th street is the place to go. Kinda like L'oreal... costs a little bit more, but its worth it! If you don't go for the best, then I would just buy the absolute cheapest because one is going to look just as "so-so" as the other. Look at the stitching and the material and go from there. Casual event guayaberas are short sleeved... formal guayaberas ALWAYS HAVE LONG SLEEVES! Please don't roll up to an evening party with a short sleeve guayabera... that is sacrilegious! I have even seen some cheapie "quickie" numbers at K-mart during the summer months... A good guayabera is slightly form-fitting... a bad guayabera looks like a box! Take care and good luck on your hunt....

La Casa de la Guayabera on 8th St. usually gets good publicity...I don't know if it is because of special connections or it is genuine, but I went there once and the shirts seemed nice.
