It's them, they were there. You can tell by the picture. My mom thinks that they didn't go through the red though. If the time was wrong, couldn't the camera be taking pictures at the wrong time too? I told her to watch the video and see if she can tell where they are in the street and the color of the light. She said they weren't in a hurry and you can see that they clocked into the SS office almost a half hour before their appointment time.

It looks like there's gonna be new ones on the US-1 in Pinecrest:

Pinecrest council members voted Tuesday to move ahead with red-light cameras at four intersections on U.S. 1.

The village has decided to use the cameras in the northbound lanes of Southwest 88th, 112th and 128th streets and Daytran Drive. The intersection at Southwest 136th Street was not included because it is shared with Palmetto Bay and would be difficult to determine the jurisdiction of the violation, according to Village Manager Yocelyn Galiano Gomez. Isn't Pinecrest mostly Republican? Why would the Pinecrest residents agree with these cameras?

Likely supporting a Republican-owned company.

Actually not, it's kind of half/half (not 100% sure though).

The resident did not vote or have much of a say in this so it is irrelevant if most are Republican or Democrat.

Yep, although that's up to a certain point.

The engagement between local Govt. and the people of the community (not only Pinecrest, across (a good portion of) the Country) is actually a bit more active and direct than most people think. The thing is that people don't like doing that sort of thing (like going (or watching on the web, Dade has that) to County/City meetings, reporting issues - minor ones too, let alone that some don't even know who their local Commissioner is) - plus they're, understandably, very busy, especially nowadays.

There should be more awareness to that kind of stuff, more people should be engaged on that, also gaining more knowledge on the people that actually run the Govt. and were/are elected, this is how a proper democracy should work; it isn't flawless, certainly, but it works.

It's a shame that when we vote we're always trying to pick the lesser of all the evils. It's not like we're given good choices at the polls. Even if the voters do manage to vote for something good the powers that be squash it before it even gets implemented.

You can bet that the red light cameras are about $$$$, not the greater good of the community.

I love living in a rural area, those cameras will never come here, or we will be getting our rifles out and enjoying the free target shooting.
