I haven't confused the two. I know people that are poor and decent, and I know wealthy people that act and behave without any class or manners.

I am not saying the entire city is ghetto but there are many people that act and look ghetto in Miami. In fact, they idolize it.

There are ghetto people from all races. I am not singling out any particular race.

Sorry if I offended anyone. Like I said before, I haven't been to Santa's Enchanted Forrest in ages but I as well as other people experienced large groups of young adults acting ghetto and creating a ruckus. By ghetto I mean acting like a thug not necessarily living in the ghetto. By other peoples posts something tells me that things have changed, maybe they have extra security and police and have cracked down/have less tolerance on the misbehavior.

I went with my son last year. He was 14 at the time and he hung out with his friends and the parents hung out together. We went in the middle of the week. It was fine. I really didn't notice gangs or trouble makers. The kids had fun.

You have a better chance of being hit by lightning than being a victim of crime at Tropical Park during that carnival. Two of my friends have taken their kids there recently and it was a good time, although a little more expensive than they liked. Nothing to worry about and you will like it.

The youth fair would have more of any trouble makers, santa's forest is mostly family and for those that can afford it. So YES it is very safe but you will see Hispanic working and middle class folks, all good working folks, but wanting to have this experience for the young ones mostly.

You will also see some uppe middle class that want pictures for the very young ones. I haven't been in a long time but plan to this year for my first grand child, but that mean I have to pay for me and hubby. 60 bucks and son and SO another 60 plus grandchild, 20 bucks so all in total about about 150 to one sixty for tickets alone. Poor folks that you would think of as being in gangs could not afford.

Yeah, I've also read about South Beach being ghetto on here.

It seems everything is ghetto about Miami these days, even though it's not true. I always have to ask if people who say this lived in Miami in the 90s because back then even suburban kids joined gangs and even though they weren't as bad as the inner city kids, they dressed and talked like them, giving a ghetto atmosphere.

Even though I havent been there in a few years, it never was like that, I'd bet everything I own that it isnt all of a sudden like that now.
