I met few years ago a comrade who used to live in Florida and told me he can literally slept overnight at beach. Is it really allowed? here in cali, we got nice beaches but most of them close by sunset and doe snot allow. I know it is crazy question but just wondering.

I'd be surprised if you couldn't. I did this in Australia a few months back and we had alcohol bottles all over the sand. It was fun. I'd actually be disappointed if we find out you can't do this in Florida!

It depends on where in Florida. I believe all Miami area beaches are closed after a certain time.

You are not allowed to sleep in Miami beaches.

I don't think its allowed, because of safety issues, people have been robbed walking on the beach late at night. So be careful.

Most beaches I saw on my recent trip to South FL specifically prohibited alcohol on the beach.

I wouldn't wanna sleep on a Miami beach for fear of getting stabbed, shot, robbed or raped.....seriously.

I'd never do that.

These are the beach rules for Miami Beach, it's probably very similar for other area beaches. The part about not sleeping is for your own safety, and also to keep homeless people from moving in there. I remember way back there used to be homeless people sleeping in the dunes, not sure if it was legal ever, but not any more.
