Looking for a condo in South Florida and really love Sunny Isles. Are there any bad areas in or near Sunny Isles to be concerned with. Very familiar with Miami-Dade. Have spent the last several months in a rented Loft in Coconut Grove. Not impressed with Coconut Grove...some shady areas are to close for comfort. Even like some parts of downtown MIA...around 10th St near Bicentennial Park (new hgih rises). No reason to move to Florida if you can't see water.

Thanks,

Jeff

Are you looking to rent or buy?
I know someone who is renting her Sunny Isles condo with all the water views you could want. Top floor I believe. Full amenities building.

PM me if you want additional info. She's not selling, just renting.

To answer your question, no. Anything of concern is west of US1 and no your not going to get shot on your way to I-95 on Ives Dairy Rd (good neighborhoods on the way to 95) or even Hallandale Beach Blvd (sleazy looking but mostly not too bad neighborhood on the way to 95). Don't suggest Miami Gardens Dr at night, though.

West of the mall is worst, but I would really say anything west of Dixie Hwy.

Sunny Isles offers lots of bang for the buck. you have nothing to fear on miami gardens dr. or NW/NE 163rd street. some of the folks who post here are overly fearful is all. I think many posters on this site assume that every black or hispanic person is a criminal of one sort or another when clearly that is not the case. hundreds of thousands of cars routinely drive both of these arteries daily and nightly with a minimum of drama. all of miami is very tame unless you come from makebelieveland and here you see boogieman shadows lurking everywhere you look.

Sunny Isles is a beautiful area and offers nice condos for rent.

I live across the WL causeway in Aventura and recently we had a masked man force his way into a condo in our building when the woman opened the door to see who it was. Scarey! I recently moved to Aventura from Doral thinking the area (Sunny Isles and Aventura) would be free of crime, but obviously I was wrong because crime is everywhere.
