What are the bar jobs like in the Miami Beach/South Beach area?

Do people seem to do well as far as tips are concerned? I have worked as a bartender for about 5 years. I just don't really know what kind of money to expect in Miami Beach.

Thank You.

You'll make good money but I owuldn't be able to give you numbers. Just remember it is VERY competitive getting a bartending job in south beach.

Thanks burgler. I have seen tons of bar jobs listed on craigslist for the Miami Beach area. I was thinking that maybe it wasn't too difficult to find one. Is this not really a safe assumption?

I couldnt give you a for sure yes or no, i am only going by word of mouth on this one. Might as well give it a shot though, what kind of experience do you have and what kind of experience were the bars on craigslist looking for?

I have about 5 yrs. experience, maybe 6. Some ads wanted experience, others were willing to train. I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of rent payment I will be able to afford. Thanks.
