The colors so far have been phenomenal. humidity is low, the sun is warm and the breeze is cool. The sky has many different shades of blue. Rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, grouse, woodcock, duck and goose seasons are open along with deer. Salmon and trout are spawning like there aint no tomorrow.
sunny days perfect for setting up againest a sunny spot on a tree with a sandwich and a good dog to share it with. Maybe even a nap too.
Chilly nights perfect for curling up in blankets.

September and October are my favorite months by far. I look forward to the day I can move north and enjoy them even more. Here in mid-Michigan it is very nice, but doesnt even compare to the north country where you can go anywhere anytime and see it all.

What he said.

With the roller-coaster that has been this move, staying in our little cabin in the woods (on the river) watching fall wash over us has been magical.

To quote an old (ha!) commercial: "do it again, Daddy!".
