WASHINGTON – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced today that on-line applications are now accepted from veterans, survivors and other claimants filing initial applications for disability compensation, pension, education, and vocational rehabilitation and employment benefits without the additional requirement to submit a signed paper copy of the application.

Effective immediately, VA will now process applications received through its on-line application website (VONAPP) without the claimant's signature. The electronic application will be sufficient authentication of the claimant’s application for benefits. Normal development procedures and rules of evidence will still apply to all VONAPP applications.

Default Could you be affected by the latest VA upset?

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/0...dmail_030309w/

I know this originally errupted in late 2008 with the shredding of claims, documents etc, but I was amazed to hear the latest news!

Fire their backsides. Let someone who needs a job and is willing to do it take their place!

Default Best military gym in Northern, VA?

I am coming to Northern, VA next month for a 6 month training. Any suggestions on a military gym that has yoga, pilates, ZUMBA, and kick boxing? I also need to know if these classes or free or how much they cost. I am trying to avoid joining a local gym to get these classes. Thanks!

Great site. I was asked about pensions before but I couldn't explain it.... but it seems to be needs based...as in income related.
