Hi, I found this post on a google search. I lived in Germany from 1967 to about 1970 when my dad was stationed at Ramstein. My parents have both passed away and I’m trying to find out more about a painting of theirs. I found a little flyer from Harry’s in their important papers. I’m wondering if you had any luck or have any ideas about how I can find more info. It’s a maritime type scene and doesn’t appear to be a Morro-Henze but I thought this would be a good starting point. I’m guile new to this site and don’t see a way to insert a picture.
Thank you!

I was stationed in Göppingen (Cooke Barracks) 83-84 with the 16th Infantry. And a later tour when I changed MOS at Munich (McGraw Kaserne) 88-91 with the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade. Both of which are now closed.

I have very fond memories of Germany. The friendly people, girls, nice food, beer, etc.

Reading through a lot of the comments I agree there were many people that never left base. Spending weekends at the NCO or Rod and Gun clubs on base. You get to travel the world and yet don’t take advantage of the opportunity to explore; sad.

It was an awesome experience and I’d relive it in a heartbeat.
