So basically, the argument is that we should build what is equivalent to a glorified shopping mall with public money? So I can buy a gourmet hot dog? THIS is the best argument being made? Sounds like corporate welfare, to me.

Well, there just aren't enough shopping malls within about 3 blocks of the Target Center. We can always use another shopping mall.
