I would say that my experiences here have proved this true for my family.

Remember racial diversity has never proven to be beneficial by any metric.

Umm....I never said anything about the white race being superior to any other race, therefore I'm not a "White Supremacist". Not believing that racial diversity does anything good, does not make one a racist or even further so a "Supremacist". The fact stands: Racial diversity has never proven to be beneficial by any metric. I see I have gotten more out of my public education than you have.

I don't have any data off-hand, but I am pretty sure studies have shown that when comparing different cross-functional teams in businesses, diverse teams have been shown to have less group-think and are more productive than homogenous teams. This isn't just racial diversity though. Other factors such as sex, age, religion, socio-economic background, etc. can also contribute to more diversity.

Anyways, my point is that studies like this lead me to believe that diversity such as racial diversity has, in fact, been proven to be beneficial. I agree that alot of the positive things said about diversity are subjective, but I happen to be in the camp that agrees with alot of that subjectivity.

Our experience in Mn has been good for our IRR. We have not experienced any in your face racism or discrimination here. Minnesota is pretty tolerate and doesn't seem to have some of the taboos or cultural issues about IRR's that other areas do. For example, my wife's family is from Atlanta and we notice a lot more stares and disapproving looks there than we experience in Mn.

Minnesota is still in America so don't think that its some mythical place where racism doesn't exist, but I feel that the greater community here will not judge you more or less on parenting and personality traits rather than just disliking you for your choice of a partner.

Actually, the BLACK scholar Thomas Sowell wrote in his book Race and Culture: A World View that there has NEVER been a successful multiracial society in the history of the world. Plus, statistics show that predominately white neighborhoods have significantly less violence than other more heavily integrated areas.

So, in essence he is saying the United States is overrated, as it has always been diverse(don't get that confused with integration).

As for crime, most crime is intraracial, as 86% of Whites and 94% of Blacks from 1976-2005 have been killed by people of the same race according to the Bureau of Justice. You also have to factor in poverty rates, education, family structure and other factors that have effected Blacks since their arrival to greater degree.

Lastly, I think your mentality is one that is more segregationist and living in the Milwaukee area shouldn't be a problem in that regard.

PS-While I respect Sowell, I think you can provide information to oppose or challenge his information. Keep in mind that even "homogeneous" nations have various ethnic/cultural groups in them as well. Some learn to live among each other and others haven't.
