It's a shame that this tragedy has opened the door to the cop haters, the race baiters, and to thinly veiled racist comments from the anti-immigrant crowd. This thread has really gotten pretty disgusting.

I know nothing about this incident. What I do know is that cops are not convicted- no matter what.

Well, it didn't take long to figure out that at least the second sentence is untrue. Louisiana Officer Sentenced to 40 Years in Shooting Death of 6-Year-Old - NBC News

I gladly stand corrected. Very rare that a cop is held responsible- DA's, juries, and Judges are usually too cowardly to do their job when cops are involved.

I think the woman walked up to the driver door and reached into her pocket to pull out her phone that's maybe black and the passenger cop thought it was a black gun in the instant he saw. That's the only somewhat reason I could see how this happened.

A Black, Muslim cop kills a white woman? The cops will throw him under the bus and he's going to be convicted. Mark my words. We all know that White woman, dogs and cats matter way more than Black people due to most White Americans, so he crossed the line and he's definitely going to pay for it.

So much anger and hatred in these threads. None of you were there and none of you know what happened in any of these cases. Makes me sick to see people using these terrible events to fuel their personal fires.

Not from me. I stated in Post #6 that we don't have enough information to conclude anything. Not sure we'll ever know what or how it occurred.

Kind of like to hear the 911 tape and hear what the Driver has to say after all it was him the other officer shot across. Again, doubt we'll get any accurate closure here.
