I have been looking online for 1 br or studio appartment to rent for a week now on craigslist.org for 300- 600 $, is there a way to find one for this price?
Cause all appartments i see either is St.Louis or in country side far away from DownTown Minneapolis... I just come from Russia, and i do US Stock market research so i will be in Minneapolis for 6-12 months, mostly working from home online, and i was wondering without credit is there a way to find an affordable appartment downtown, with internet, and where is no hate aganist Russians ;-) Thank you very much ! And i Have to come by this Saturday or Sunday to Minneapolis and i'm basically lost....

I just did a craigslist search for apartments in minneapolis for 600 or less and found 347 listings. I did a search under downtown Minneapolis and found 115 results...there is plenty available. People in the city tend to be more accepting to foreigners than people out in the country. Good luck.

Those listings are in Minneapolis. There is no countryside in Minneapolis, just a few lakes and parks which are all surrounded by residential, comercial and industrial zoning. You will have to fill out an application for pretty much any rental here, not sure what the problem is with that.

you're going to be hard pressed to find an apartment that doesnt require an application, to be honest.

As far as downtown goes, living in Loring Park or Stevens Square are both very affordable, and close to downtown (like blocks away). If you dont have a car, they would be ideal and you could easily get a place for less than $600.

otherwise go here:

Aeon Forms Property Management Company

Their job is to help recent immigrants find housing (among other things). You certainly wont be alone on that front as there are a lot of recent immigrants in Minneapolis and many of them have no credit.

im·mi·grant Pronunciation[im-i-gruhnt]
–noun 1. a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.
2. an organism found in a new habitat.

Nick didn't mean any disrespect, immigrant is simply a word that describes what you are. It isn't derogatory.

I'm not coming to US or Minneapolis for permanent residency i come only for 1-2 years, and i have to go back as i have family in Russia which likes living in Moscow... Americans that come to work in Moscow, we don't call them imigrants we call them guests ... Or Guest Workers.... Gastarbayters ;-)
That's just for your info....

But WHAT io was trying to say that thing still requires some sort of application and they will check some background check.... WHat if i will offer them just rent for 6 month or one whole year as it's not a problem for me, could they avoid all those stupid applications and section 8 forms ??? It's just a little bit different in Russia, if you would offer money to somebody they could do anything, and i think those official rules are not so right... Could you think i talk them into this without paper work crap ?! Thank you guys, u been vbery helpfulll....
