There are lots of great deals at the farmers markets. There are tons of them all over Minneapolis and St. Paul, so if one doesn't have what you want, there certainly are many more you can check out. Also I've found that the Produce Exchange in the Midtown Global Market often have good deals on produce.

I had a Costco membership for eight years while I was single (I still have the membership now that I'm married) and found that I was able to pay for the membership several times over from the savings. The membership costs less than $1 a week and you can get savings from buying things other than food.
