My flowers are going to get covered up - not ready to let them go yet. The trees rapidly changed from green to gold/red.

I do believe I was a bear in my former life because I always want hibernate this time of year.

I got my car all washed & waxed so it's ready for whatever. Today is gloomy & gray - I will cuddle up with the critters - feeling lazy.

I must say - I am always happy to see that first snow - so pretty (not yet though).

I'm already thinking about Christmas - yes I am - love it all. May decorate the outside and it's so much easier to do it before it gets cold.

Cambium - Thanks for thinking about us - keep up the good work!!

Here too. Quick bursts that begin to stick then melt.

No matter how many upper Midwestern winters I've been through the first snow of the season always makes me stop and gawk.

Few hours ago it was sunny and snowing here, pretty cool to see that.

THANKS! Without interaction I kinda lose interest in posting. (or I get too busy with life, work, or our storms here )

Even though I don't live there, I love reading these Observation posts from you guys. Thanks!

6pmCST map with temps.

30s across the state. Those orange lines I wont get into right now, too technical.. Basically it's an Upper Low. (A cold pool of air aloft, very cold) and its making the surface below normal.

Those snow returns on radar should be light. Don't worry, no blizzard for Southern MN. Maybe a quick squall you cant rule out though.

MSP not reporting snow ATTM but they might be next few hours. Light stuff.

I guess growing season is done.

BTW - Wind Chill Value in the 10s with the wind in Western part of MN. WOW. Even down in Worthington.

I tried covering my flowers and the wind just blew the covers all over the yard - the wind is crazy. I went to Target and it felt like January with the wind. We had snow flakes for a few minutes but it's 34F - bah.

I'm afraid the flowers might be done for the year

I don't see a warming pattern that lasts there, so I would say yeah. Sorry.

Another cold shot on Tuesday-Wednesday, warmer Thurs-Sat, then another cold shot comes in next Sunday.

Check out what it feels like right now. 10s even in Nebraska. Deep snowpack in ND and still snowing.

Not sure if MSP reported snow yet but Light snow showers here and there are happening across the state. Nothing bad.
