7amCST map with snowfall reports. Bulk of the snow is done. Heaviest is now over Wisconsin and MI but I see a heavy batch over MSP right now.

Also see 6-8" has fallen in the area. I haven't checked to see what the airport MSP got yet.

I haven't seen over 8" either so looks like less than forecasted for some areas.

Zoomed in. Some areas might reach 10" with that heavy snow right now.

EDIT: Just checked... Don't forget guys, send in your reports.

Storm total snowfall for our climate sites as of 6am...

MSP Airport: 8.3''
Chanhassen: 7.8''
Eau Claire: 5.2''

7.3” in Burnsville

Officially 7 inches here at the TC metro's north pole. Lotta drifting, though......so there's a few areas that are bare and other spots with over a foot piled up. Unfortunately my driveway isn't one of the bare spots.

Snow is done here for the day and the plows have been through. I have to work in Mora tonight so eager to see what kind of shape 65 is in.

I don't know the exact amount but doubt we even got 6". But, it was that awful heavy wet stuff - not nearly as bad as they forcasted. I'm about 1 mile SW of Msp city limits.

8-12 is always a snow emergency. We don’t get massive snow storms here like you find in the Sierra’s or Buffalo, etc...

That storm came all at once, no easing into winter this year. Right away. I shoveled three times yesterday.

Reading the forecast discussion from the National Weather Service in correlation with this next system due tomorrow night, it sounds like there's going to be a warm air factor that's going to make it a real mess. I'm reading stuff about rain, freezing drizzle, freezing rain, snow and even the possibility of a full blown ice storm.

Eh boy.

Not fun. Especially for travelers. Leave tonight or early tomorrow!
