Is open racism still common in Mississippi? (Meridian, Starkville: bars, beaches)

No state is majority Black. Mississippi used to be majority Black until the waves of the Great Migration.

Thats just 1 city, this is going on in alot of places in Mississippi, its not just exclusive to this state though, but this problem is more wide spread here.

I read - or started to read - the article. I gave up when I gt to this gem:

Corruption exists everywhere. Every state. It exists on a local, state, and federal level.

Take Memphis, TN for example. I only selected Memphis because it is 30 minutes from where I live, and I hear about the things that go on there on a daily basis. Memphis government is corrupt and inept, it's schools are failed, dead people are voting, councilwomen are getting drunk and pole dancing at parties, 20+ year mayor Willie Herenton partying with strippers, etc.

Does anyone think the entire state of Tennessee is that way based on Memphis?

Why such an ignorant question? I hope you didn't ask if they had indoor plumbing there too. Too many folks must live in their own bubble and not get out much. I guess I don't get it because I've traveled all over the US for work. Guess what, every state has rednecks too!
