We are so excited, but sad at the same time. My family won't be able to move down until the house sells. I will miss my parents and daughter terribly. My hubby's best friend is planning on moving there too but not for a bit. It will just be a lot of travel until then.
Ihermey, everything takes time. It has been over a year for us. There were days that I thought we would never move BUT it happened. When/where are you planning on the move? If you have posted about it before, sorry my memory stinks.
Deborah, what lake? If you are close by and have time, we should get together for lunch, dinner or something.
OH YEAH, I ALMOST FORGOT............ 17 DAYS! Sorry, couldn't wait till 16.
Have a great day everyone.
God Bless,
Kim and JIm

Post Texas County

It sounds like you will really enjoy moving to Texas County. Just remember that this part of Missouri is the mid-south and not the midwest like Michigan

Yes, Texas County is located much further south in latitude than places in the Midwest. From what I can tell the area is mainly rural and fairly slow paced. Southern accents are quite common in this part of Missouri, and their are many natural areas around like the Mark Twain National Forest. Texas County might even be far enough south to have sweet tea! This might take some adjustment if you are coming from the Midwest and the Michigan area.
