I heard it from a friend of mine and his info is usually reliable and I lot of people were talking about it on my FB news feed also. And @ Kokoroanoke I think a main event would be great for the city. More so around McGowin or the new shopping center thats being built on Schillingers.

I don't know how much square footage it requires, but this would be a good use of the former Parisian/Belk space or the upstairs portion at Springdale.

Ok guys a realtor on my FB news feed made a post about the Cheese Cake Factory taking over Forever 21s location. And forever 21 will be moving to the ESC.Moving to the ESC is a dumb move because retail is struggling over their. CCF will be open first of 2019.

So is this official? Also that space is 24k sqft so there must be 15-16k sqft left if the Cheesecake Factory joins. Also it doesn't make sense for them to be deep into the mall like that for they are always in the front main part of the mall with main road visibility and an large parking in front of the mall.

Looking at the mall's lease plan, the Forever 21 box can be easily subdivided into two restaurant spaces and a connecting corridor. A CCF could work in the space immediately behind House of Hoops and next to the rear service court.

Unless they are struggling, F21 leaving does not make sense at all. The Parisian space would be great for them especially since they have taken anchor spaces across the country. I believe the closest example is Oakwood mall in Gretna. They even have a big box location in Gulfport at the Crossroads...
