Have you found out where the 100,000 extra went? Huntsville metro got about 8-10% of them (over the estimates) but the rest of them have to be somewhere.

I suspect there are some undercounts, particularly in predominately black communities. I can't believe B'ham dropped so much - just over 200,000.

I have no idea. I'm trying to interpret the actual files and its difficult since i can't access anything on the website

nvm Baldwin County actually gained like 3k, again really hard to interpret with no key or anything

Baldwin was just over 2,000 gain from the 2020 vintage estimate.

Baldwin lost 6k ? There is now way.I think Mobile city limits is between 192k and 195k and the county at 420k.

So....

Birmingham- 200,733
Montgomery- 200,603
Huntsville-215,000
Mobile- 187,041

Mobile could become the second largest with one good annexation that includes more West Mobile neighborhoods than the last attempt. Really shocked by B-ham's decline.

Washington County declined a little bit to 15,388. That would give Mobile Metro a 2020 population of 430,197. of course that doesn't include Baldwin County.

Honestly, same here. I think they are all flawed. A city can dispute it if they have collected their own data.
