Well, glad you're back, mostly anyway!
As they wheeled me into the OR, I told the Dr that like when you get your car worked on, you can ask for them to give you the old parts, please put alp old and worn parts in a jar, besides, my grandson needed to take something to science class for extra credit, and this just might do it. He didn't save them.

I stayed awake through the whole thing. Was pretty interesting. When I told them to get the damn curtain out of the way, I wanted to watch, they hesitated but pulled it back out of the way so I could watch. Course, I've seen the Surgeon, every other month for a few years,, and he knows me.

I joked around with the Surgeon. I had brought in a pint of my salsa and he knew it. So I was teasing him about being a whuus. I asked him, "Do you know the difference between hot and mild? Its how. much you put on the taco.". I got him laughing once and he had to stop to a minute. So when I was back in the room eating my burger (The hospital makes the best burgers in town, and you can order off a menu, so I ordered a cheese burger with a big slice of onion, chips, home made veggie soup, and a diet coke). He came in with a big grin on his face, I said, I know what your after. I broke out the salsa and gave to him.

Of course. haha. The girls (nurses) love my salsa, so I take a couple jars when into for appointments. Every now and then intake a jar up and give to the schedules. Normally when you want an appointment, it takes 5-6 weeks. Since I started giving her a jar of salsa periodically, when I call for an appointment, I can get one within 10 days. Hey, whatever works. hahaha

That was funny, I don't care who you are.

Years ago, dad was in his late 70's, early 80's and was trimming trees with his chainsaw. stepmother was working. Dad was up a ladder cutting off a 4-5 inch limb when the chainsaw went through. Natural instinct was to keep it from falling down and catching his leg, so he reached out and caught the blade with his left hand. Cut him to the bone, right across the palm of his hand. It was several. hours til she got home. He cleaned it up and waited. When she got home he told her there was no way he was wasting gas driving 18 miles in to town, she was a Registered Nurse, get your needle and thread out. There was no way he was giving in and she figured there were two options. Either she could sew him up, or ignore it because he wasn't going to town. So she cleaned it up and broke out a needle and thread. You know, once it healed, he had full use of that hand. Never had any problems with it, other than the scar caused by 40+ stitches.
