My uncle hand made a replica of a D-9G. It was about 3 ft long and had a one quarter horse Briggs engine with a pull starter. I is d to fire it up and move furniture around. It weighed about 150 pounds. When he turned it, the clutch levers actually moved. I loved to watch it.

I'm a bushed puppy tonight. I cleaned out a storage unit that I have now had for 8 years. Yeah, I know, the cost of storing old crap is not worth it, but, its empty now!

Yes, you have. In 1993, BNSF put in single rail, all the way from Seattle to Ft Worth Texas. In single rail, no longer 80ft pieces. That's old hat now days.

And yet these roads are tourist attractions! They finally built a nice paved alternative to that horrible mountain road in Bolivia, but which one still gets more traffic? The tourist attraction! Be one of the 200 or so who fall to their deaths every year!!

Newfangled RR track, I meant the shiny white ties, WTF? Recycled plastic, I assume. Good idea tho, now that you can't use creosote.

Yeah, they put in the new ties when they went to single rail, but only in special areas that were questionable compact.

I'm a statistical anomaly. Born in MD, lived in OH, then settled in WV ( a declining state) and then jumped to Montana.

They should study my habits. My wife says our next jump might land us in the middle of the Pacific, lol.

I was born and raised in Eastern South Dakota on a dry land farm. Moved to Wyoming when I was on the crew that built I90. 1972. Then spent 18 years in Uncle Sam:s Canoe Club. Leaving as a Check Petty Officer. Sonar Technition, most of the time.
