Turns out something ate all the flowers off the would-be blooming rhubarb! and as a result they were already shriveling up by themselves. Well, that's one way to do it...

I get a kick out of folks here that make sure there's no ethanol in their gas, will even pay extra for it, then have to put HEET in the tank to keep from freezing the gas lines, and what is HEET you may ask? Ethanol.

There's already been snow on top of the Crazy's as of last week. Or do you mean down in the valleys?
Only 41 at my place this morning, raining hard, only take a drop of a few degrees and it would be snow.

Someplace with a post office, we'll call that Official. Those weather stations atop the highest peaks, that's cheating too. Fortunately for my mental health, I can't see the Crazies from here.

About 60 here and rained overnight, but since it's rained almost every night all year, that's unworthy of notice.

Also, would you like some zucchini?

Noticed that, did you? I remember when HEET was practically necessity... -40 and a little moisture and you sure wish you'd spent a buck for one of those blue-and-yellow cans. Perhaps the one good thing about ethanol-contaminated gas...

I only buy the ethanol-free gas for the small engines, mower and such, which appreciate the premium octane too; figure for the truck it's a lost cause, and doesn't seem to bother it much anyway.

The manual for the old Craftsman mower says to not use Premium, but it runs so much better (and longer) there's no comparison, so the manual has been deemed Wrong.

So what's in the stabilizer stuff they sell to counteract ethanol? all it says is "petroleum distillates".
