Elderly retired couple and dog seeking to find sunshine in Monterey Coounty, rural preferred. Location negotiable. Anything from a Manufactured home with 2/2 or more, to a 3/2 or a 4/2 suburban home. The quieter the better. Must have hi-speed internet and good water. Willing to go to the boonies. Any advice from you folks who know the County?

There are a lot of options to choose from. A lot will depend upon your budget. Here are a few to check out:

Prunedale
Carmel Valley
Aromas
Oak Hills
Marina
Further south:
Nipomo
Santa Maria
Orcutt

If you want sun, you can't beat Corral de Tierra or Carmel Valley. Both are also rural, but an easy drive to amenities. Hope you have lots of money .

Do some exploring out past Carmel Valley Village, over toward Los Padres Dam, & over toward Arroyo Seco. There are some nice spots out thar...some on a river or creek...

Boonies = not very fast internet.

The highway 68 area - Toro park/San Benancio/CDT/Laureles Grade may fit your needs. Expensive though.

Muni water is mostly ok.

Suburban with sun - north Monterey to Seaside.
