I think that in order to stay in Quebec, the language police would have made Red Lobster use the French equivalent such as "Homard Rouge". I think that is why Kentucky Fried Chicken changed its name to KFC so they did not have to use the French equivalent yet still remain in Quebec.
KFC chooses to use PFK. The law does not force them to. Canadian Tire Home Depot Best Biy etc did not change their names.

I would rather have any of the hundreds of indie non-chain seafood restaurants in Massachusetts. There's one in particular, in Boston's Little Italy, that makes me swoon every time I eat there. And if they could open in Montreal by June 2, that would be fabulous -- I'm coming home to have lunch with a friend.
Well we’ve got some very good seafood restaurants like Chez Boss et fils and many others, but we were talking about restaurant chains. Not in the same category, really...
What would be an equivalent to Red Lobster in Montreal,
Legal Seafood would fit the bill but i dont think theres an outlet in Montreal.
Rib n Reef might be worth a look but their menu looks really expensive.
