Metro Metro hip-hop festival was successful. Not only a much larger crowd but also now three days and even people were trying to sneak in.

Attendance

Year 1: 30,000 over two days (avg. 15,000)
Year 2: 70,000 over three days (avg. 23.3K)

a 40,000 increase YoY is insane and I won't be surprised if it hits 100,000 in 2023.

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of hip-hop, but I got invited all 3 days in the VIP section and it was a fantastic festival. It's cementing Montreal as a hip-hop destination, and for a festival to grow by 40,000 people with a second year festival is absolutely bonkers. Crowds were rowdy, reminding me of Ultra in Miami, where people would stampede the gates.
