They have thrown in the towel . They have packed up and headed for GA never to come back to Morgantown WV again . They have decided to no longer fight to build on U Ave . So what you see is what you get and it ain't pretty .

Now watch WVU will buy it and do something with it and that same group will be screaming about WVU taking more places off the tax role. Meanwhile ignoring the fact they caused a 12 story taxable building to be canceled.

At this point i bet it is dead, i email and facebook message the company about if it is dead and they never respond and I think a real estate company has the VFW site back up for sale.

So two high density projects that would define downtown with character and walkability are nixed while Dan Ryan can rip up a farm for a crap development with no utilities. Something is seriously seriously wrong. It seems the leaders have no real power except for extracting money from residents.

I heard from some reliable sources while at Gene's that both VFW and University avenue projects are dead.

Very frustrated by this news, followed these for awhile now. What a disappointment, they were both so promising, just got to vent my frustrations in a positive way somehow.

Embarrassing. The city only has itself to blame for getting pushed around by 2 slum lords.
