Hi Guys

I'm trying to decide whether I should buy netflix. A lot of my friends at school have it and they watch it all the time. I know that they have a lot of good stuff on it, but I'm not sure whether its worth the price. I mean, will I really even watch that much stuff at school? What do you people that have it think of it?

I never had any time for tv when I was in college. I don't think I even had one. Netflix itself is worth the money. The stock is worth even more.

I can't comment on the college aspect of it but the service itself is great.
I use mainly the online download section vs the physical disc being mailed to you.

I also have a internet ready TV and download movies, shows, etc instantly from Netflix (well, not instantly but within a few seconds to a minute!).

Jessie- definitely go for it. I got it last year and now I don't even know what I did with my life before Netflix. I watch it more than cable TV. If your worried about the price, check this out. StudentRate - Deal / Netflix Student Discounts

Its 10$ off, so you basically get a free month and a half of Netflix. I'd say just try that and see what happens. The worst is you get a free month, and maybe you'll love it.

My bro just got it and it's awesome. $10. VS $45+ for cable...I'll take Netflix. F cable and their greedy selves.

it's $8/month for streaming only. $8/month= about a quarter a day. Worth it

I pay about $20 for the 3 disk plan and don't regret it one bit (though, if Netflix keeps getting good stuff on instant streaming like older or premium cable TV series, I may drop to the one disk plan)

I'm on streaming + 1 disc. And you get and a 1 month free trial anyhow to see how you like it.
10/month, so worth it. Especially if you have either macX ripper or Winx ripper. hehe.

If you decide to try it then opt for the smallest package, which is $5 or $6 dollars and you're restricted to 2 movies per month (but I believe you have access to instant play movies).

I have my own issues with Netflix. I much preferred renting from Hollywood Video because I could go "dormant" for awhile. I'd go for 3 months or so without renting a thing, then go on another spurt. I can't do that with Netlix ~ I'm committed to renting something since I'm paying for it.

Very happy. My cable company wanted $5/movie. I don't even get HBO, Showtime etc. because you can stream a lot of the series, too.

I like it. I gave up my satellite account and use Roku to steam movies from Netflix and other sites as well. In fact, there's too much to watch using Roku. I'd never get anything done if I sat and watched all that Roku has to offer. I also like that I don't have a monthly cable/satellite bill any longer. Wooo Hooo! But yeah, Netflix is great.
