Hey all,
Believe it or not, I grew up a couple houses down from where they filmed "A Christmas Story" in Cleveland. I was about 4 and got to see the set (as my house was part of it), but my parents were extras in a bunch of different scenes. As a teenager still living on that street, my parents and I got to be extras in the second one (It Runs In The Family or My Summer Story).
Now I guess they're making a third one, and I gotta say I'd love for my kids to be in it somehow, a few of my kids do local movies when they film here (as extras, usually), anyone know if they're going to film near or in Cleveland? Three generations of family in all three movies would be a heck of a story to tell the grandkids someday, and probably be a lot of fun!
Thanks!

Well, I wouldn't say the second beat the original, that's for sure. It's silly in it's own right but it has Charles Grodin in it and it doesn't have the same charm.

I don't know why they would make a third either, you're absolutely right, there's nothing like the original.

Never heard about a 2nd one. Love the 1st one!

Hey! Did you know that the kid who got his tongue stuck to that pole grew up to do some porno? It's true!

Wasn't something like "Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss" a sequel of sorts? I have seen it, but it his been sooooo long that I do not remember it. I remember the "It Runs in the Family" was kind of cute too (I don't think they could ever top the original). Would a new one actually be a 4th?

I know the other two didn't get much recognition, but I would definitely want to see another one. I enjoy Jean Shepherd's stories.
