Prisoners on Netflix with Jake G and Hugh J.
Above average diabolical crime drama, well acted and a good story. I enjoyed it.
Didn't quite understand the connection of the false-positive bad guy until a bit later on, then it all made sense.
My husband watched the “Banshees of Inisherin” today on HBO Max
He really enjoyed it—I have read other people’s negatives reports
He said it was funny but that is like “In Bruges” the first time Colin Ferrell and Brendan Gleason starred in movie by same director—
Most people don’t see the humor in “In Bruges” either
I never saw this flick when it came out, was probably in session then and then later on, it wasn't rated that highly, but finally picked it up. Can it be as bad as they said it was 40 years ago? Yes, it can. What an incredibly unfunny movie where what one sees in the trailer is the best one gets. It's not as bad as the Pink Panther flicks "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" and past that, it is not disgusting, it just isn't funny. One would have more fun watching "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother". Nice to see Stratford Johns (Softly Softly Task Force) in the opening credits but not that easy to find him. Helen Mirren who gets second billing....doesn't show up till a 3rd into the movie. A 2.0.
The Long Goodbye (1973). It is a pretty good adaptation of Raymond Chandler's acclaimed novel. It was funny to see a young Arnold Schwarzenegger as a henchman. ★★★½
