I was looking for a movie to fill in my tv show slots. Watching reruns of current shows bores me. So checking Netflix I came across this movie "Peppermint (2018)" I never seen or heard of it. Its run time was about 1 hr 40 minutes. So I decided to give it a try.
The start was a little rocky, but the flashback fixed it. Jennifer Garner isn't the best actress, but she was decent in this role. If your looking for an average-ish hero revenge movie this will work. ** 1/2 of *****
Spoiler
I like how they left the ending opened to a "possible" sequel. Should they make one, depends on the new story, and bringing back Jennifer Garner. Without her it will be just like every other sequels cash grab.
The Dark Lord moves in mysterious ways. The problem is that this was a TV pilot and as such, the movie ends without a conclusion. That, supposedly, was to be picked up in the series...that never materialized. For what the movie has, its good and I'll give it one thing, it does wrap you in........it just never wraps it up. It is sort of on the level of "The Devil's Daughter" (1973). Say a 6.0.
