Violent movies that are more character studies than they are violent

Logan Violent, yes, but it's a story about redemption at its heart (as well as a good modern western, just wrapped in Spandex).

LOGAN is set in a super hero universe, but there isn't any spandex in the movie. Great movie. One of the best of its genre. If the rest of the X-MEN movies had managed that level of tone, heart, and intelligence, the franchise might not have fizzled out.

"Wrapped in Spandex" = "is a superhero movie." No actual Spandex needs to appear.

And yes, it was fabulous. Heads and shoulders above the majority of superhero movies!
