I just finished watching "Roman Holiday" with my daughter (13) and she really enjoyed it.

I am trying to offer her, occasionally, some alternatives to the Disney Channel and some of the modern movies for teenagers

I also just saw this. Not being shown many places which is too bad I think. Very good movie with a very emotional performance by the great Michael Caine.

I have to confess, I didn't know anything about Harry Brown until one of my friends suggested we went to see it. I am thankful.

Slightly lower on the quality list was The A-Team (2010) which I would class as C grade. Yeah I wasn't expecting too much, but it was better than sitting around my flat all day

"The Brothers Bloom" with Rachel Weisz, Adrian Brody and Mark Ruffalo. A good quirly little movie, a little confised at times but still entertaining and charming.

Just finished watching "Law Abiding Citizen. Started it off with promise, had some interesting moments, could have been a really good movie, but just went off the deep end to pointless. But it was interesting enough for me to watch till the end.

Catch 22 - I preferred the book.
"Shutter Island" is out on DVD today, so will probably see that on the weekend.
