Talking Heads, October 1983, Millett Hall, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Just fabulous.

Violent Femmes, 1989-ish (?), Bogart's in Cincinnati. The band added a second show and there were maybe 150 people at the second show. It was so incredible, like a little coffee shop performance.

Jeez, I've been to so many.

First concert I ever went to was when I was a freshman in HS, Grand Funk Railroad at Madison Aquare Garden in '71, Bloodrock opened, I haven't been to many shows that were as great as that one was.

ZZ Top in '75 right after Fandango came out at the Capitol Theater in Passaic NJ, Slade opened, great show.

Of course the World Wide Trexas Tour was great, I saw them at the Summit in Houston during thanksgiving week in '76, they did two shows a day, all sold out. I also met Billy Gibbons at Kurt Linhoff's shop, Specialty Guitar on W. Gray in Houston a day before the concert.

Got to see Johny Winter at the Felt Forum right after his Captured Live album came out, he was unbelievable, he did Highway 61 Revisited and they brought out a stool and he sat on it playin the slide solo in the middle for what musta been 20-30 minutes, I was mexmerized, he just smoked.

Sammy Hagar at the Summit in Houston during the VOA tour, he put on a great show, played Baba O' Reilly and a few other covers, his show was longer than most, Krokus opened, thet were great.

Ted Nugent in the early 80's at Sam Houston Collusium, after the NUGENT ablum came out, Carmine Appice on drums, one helluva show, the whole place was vibe-erating, loud, but great.

April Wine and Molly Hatchet when Danny Jo Brown was with them, both great live bands.

Skynyrd adn Nugent Sept 1 2001 at lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, both did a great show. I was able to got a bootleg of the Nugent concert, Derek St. homles played with him.

I was on the stage for the Nugent concert at the Harley Davidson event at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2002, he cooked, I'm tellin ya. I got so go to a lot of his concerts for the next few years and was able to hang out with him quite a bit, he is by far one of the guitar greats of our time. yeah, I'm a HUGE NUGE fan.

I saw the original Chicago Transit Authority live once in 1968 and they blew me away!

Terry Kath....such an underrated (or virtually unknown) guitarist.....check him out from 2:43 to the end...amazing!

I made a bootleg of that live concert (and that same song) recorded directly from the soundboard onto a Nakamichi reel-to-reel and uploaded it to YouTube:

Rage Against the Machine 96' or 97' The best show I have ever seen period. And I've seen thousands of shows. Between 89' and 98' I managed record stores and was going to 3 or 4 show a week almost that entire time. The pay sucked but I still miss it.

Quite a few in my day. Amongst them, one stands out, probably because right now I'm listening to "Electric Ladyland".

Denver Pop Festival-June 27, 28,29, 1969. Bears Stadium (eventually renamed Mile High stadium). Only could afford to go to one out of the three shows, settled for the third one. Several bands, amongst them Joe Cocker, Three Dog Night, Aum, Zephyr (who had a young guitarist by the name of Tommy Bolin). Headline act?

The Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was the last concert Hendrix done with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.

Was quite a day!
