Eric Clapton - My Father's Eyes (1998) - I can remember this song playing constantly on our local Hot A/C station in the Spring/Summer of '98. It was sad then, and especially now since both my father and grandfather have passed since.
Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffany's (1995) - This received a lot of airplay while I was in crutches (due to twisting my leg when exiting a icy slide), and was my favorite song then.
There were many songs in the early '90s that were plenty dirgey, but one stands out to me as Top Dirge. It is a song from Seattle super group Temple of the Dog. The group had such hits as "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Hunger Strike" and featured vocals from both Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder.

I know Temple of the Dog was a tribute to their late friend Andrew Wood, but I still don't know why they never got together again for a second album. Amazing music.
