My sister and I had fun speculating what "every time I look around, it's in my face" might refer to. Why did I think the singer was a black guy with dreadlocks rather than a short-haired Latin guy?

Also, I realize this is 2001, but I was thinking of "Lady Marmalade" the other day. Talk about a song that was everywhere in its heyday but never played or mentioned today.
