Ha! I have long suspected Shiina Ringo would go back to piano-oriented songwriting at some point (particularly after years of being a mom, and probably ensuring her kids have piano lessons). I wonder if this will really be an extended return to it or not. At least it's a departure (and not just because of the piano) from much of what she had been recording.
Not sure about this, but I like it more than I usually music stuff like this these days. It helps that there's actually a tune there, even if it's simple. I will probably go back and check out their earlier albums as well.
