I don't especially like this guy's singing, but I find it hurt to avert my ears from the audacious pastiche being created here. I think I here a bit of Steely Dan and Bob Seger (or Bruce Springsteen), among other things. But I wish he didn't feel compelled to belt out every song, ironically or not.

She mentions Paul Simon in an interview somewhere or other, and I definitely can here that sort of thing as a model here, despite very different production directions.
Somewhat better than average video, as well, in my opinion.
Anyway, it feels like taste trends in the west, within indie/alternative music anyway, are arriving at a place where wider recognition of Sheena Ringo/Tokyo Jihen is just around the corner, but that might just be my personal obsession talking.
