Since 2000 there has not been any music other then country worth listening to. It's such a crime the complete and utter trash they pass off now. Hippity hoppity fruit loops and wrap crap. I feel bad for the young people, they will never know what music is. And shame on their parents for not passing on the torch.
There are some 90s bands/artists I enjoy listening to and I definitely agree with you that most of the music from 2000 onward is awful and many of the bands/artists you see don't have alot of talent, I also feel bad for the young people for having to listen to that kind of music instead of the good older music, my mother actually likes today's music and she and my sister have fun listening to the current songs that are out, the only listenable artists from the past decade are Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow and Josh Groban

best decade overall--80s
I love the early 90s but as the decade went on it wasn't as great.

I do like the early 1990s music quite a bit myself, I thought the music from 1996 onward was when it really started going downhill, the hip hop music from the early 1990s is definitely the highlight of the hip hop era IMO.

Now don't get me wrong. I think the bands you listed are great examples of modern music and some are my personal favorites. I just don't think someone should look down on the music of the 70's while giving props to the artists you mentioned.
I stand corrected....These are great bands from the 70's that you mentioned. I just have an immense dislike for classic rock bands such as Skynard, Styx, CCR, The Eagles, AC/DC, Kiss, Aerosmith, Boston, Nugent, ZZ Top, Foreigner, (did they release albums in the 70's?) and crap like Abba, and the Bee Gees. But anyways....maybe the 70's were not as bad as I origionally thought.

The best decade was the 70's.

However the decade that was the most fun, upbeat and cheesey was the ..........80's.

Before the age of youtube and computers we had TRUE 24/7 Music Television (MTV) and you could dye your hair purple or green etc..and act cheesey as it was a fun, fun, fun decade for music.

When i'm 90 the youing one's will be trippin as i'll still be listening too Blondie, Ratt, Madonna and Twisted Sister etc..etc..

Yea remember those days when MTV actually played music? Now it may well be the biggest waste of a TV show next to the Televangelists and spanish channels.

I remember it well. Cable TV was in it's infancy and many towns were just getting hooked up. MTV was fast behind and there were ads on TV with the slogan to tell your local TV: "I want my MTV". We used to sit for hours just watching real music made to a video.

But bands dont even make music anymore so I guess MTV dont need to worry about broadcasting videos.

If they ever made a video to todays wrap it would have to be X rated. If they ever made a video to todays hippity hoppity fruit loops junk it would have to be sexually obnormal.

Foreigner has released 3 albums in the late 1970s but they've reached their peak in the early-mid 1980s with hits like "Urgent", "Waiting For a Girl Like You", "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "Say You Will"
