Floyd then Tool.

The fact that the OP put Nickleback in the poll invalidates it!

I lean more toward The Tubes!!!!!!

I originally voted for The Beatles.....but looking at this again I realized that U2 isn't on the list

Nickelback, CCR, & Aerosmith are on the list, but not U2??

Doesn't make a lick of sense to me.......

Wow! Didn't expect to see The Fall get a mention. I'm a little too old to do the "Favorite Band" thing, and my tastes are too wide and varied, but I will say that The Fall is one my my absoliute favorite bands still in existence.

Love those folks.

But there are entire Fall albums that I don't care much for, so the can't top a list for me exactly.

Probably my favorite musical figure of the pop/rock world is Captain Beefheart.

I AM a huge Stones fan. I've been revisiting Goats Head Soup lately and it really is a killer album. I also dig Black and Blue. Both of those records get panned a lot, but there's some great stuff in those grooves.

I also really love the early Stones, Brian Jones-era stuff. I think that side of their work gets kind of ignored at times, but their first few albums are as good examples of white boy electric blues as have ever come down the pike IMO. And as they moved into more psych territory as well with Aftermath and the next few albums.

(I'm one of those who happens to love Their Satanic Majesties Request. In fact, I *sacrilege alert* prefer it to Sgt. Peppers!)

Tough choice. I'm surprise there weren't more people from Creedence.
