I didn't have any of their songs on iTunes, so I downloaded seven songs I like. Unfortunately, "Give Me the Keys (and I'll Drive You Crazy)" wasn't offered. Guess I'll have to haunt a used CD store and find a copy of "Small World", the album this song was on.
As usual, I ignored their most popular song, "The Power of Love", in favor of:
Bad Is Bad
Perfect World
Heart and Soul
I Want A New Drug
Stuck with You
It's All Right
Do You Believe in Love
In my younger days...maybe a bit after high school, I played in a band that was a Huey Lewis tribute band. Maybe we didn't call it a tribute band but we did much of his music. And that was because our lead singer Ralph was a dead ringer look alike of Huey Lewis. No one could tell the difference. His name was Ralph and everyone but his mother called him Huey.
Jacob's Ladder was written by Bruce Hornsby by the way.
That means Bruce has produced at least one thing that I like. I can't stand most of his music. Oh, I thought of another good Huey Lewis song. I love Cruisin'. Man, what was he thinking about when he wrote that one? Great song!
Ditto here, not a huge fan but recorded solid stuff!
Favorite song? "I Want A New Drug"
Favorite album? Sports. Released in 1986-classic album!
