After Huey Lewis and The News reached their prime in 86, they still released at least 2 more lp's within the next 5 years "Small World" in 88 and "Hard At Play" in 1991. I think a hit "Perfect World" came out in 88

Has anyone ever heard those? Are they more of the same that was put out in the 80's? Or any different?

Their heyday was the the decade of the 1980s and they cranked out some fine hits that are still played on soft rock stations. I don't think they've done much lately. You can do a Googlesearch and look up their discography.

Yeah, of course. I heard Huey all through the '80s. That group is one of those bands that sort of takes me right back to childhood, actually. One of my favorites is "Jacob's Ladder" (that became more of a favorite as an adult) and of course "Hip To Be Square" (although it reminds me of American Psycho now, but that's ok, I get a chuckle..), and of course "Power Of Love" from Back To The Future. The group also had a minor hit from that Hard At Play album in 1991 called "Couple Days Off." That was a pretty good song, I thought. And now I love "Pineapple Express" from the movie of the same name. (I don't know if that's just Huey by himself, or with the News.) But Huey hasn't lost his touch. They're a really good band. They were also my first concert. August 1984. I was very little, but I vaguely remember how small they looked from where we sat.

Huey was a good live act, the only time I saw him was in 1983 he was warming up 38 Special, and his new hit was I want a new drug. Pretty entertaining though.

I saw him singing for a band called "Clover" in the fall of 1977. They were sort of a Doobie Brothers style band. They were opening for Gary Wright.

Default yes

I heard Clover was around from 72-79. originally Huey named his new band Huey lewis and The American Express but the credit card company complained so he changed it to the News in 1980. Heard his mom invented the wax rind on cheese. I didn't care for Huey in their heyday but over the past 2.5 decades they grew on me. I guess after all i hear now Huey is "organic". I liked the "Picture This" lp more than any of his more popular lp's. I want to get the debut album from 10980 but if it's available it's pretty expensive.
