when you say "No Admission" are you referring to no admission to get in, but sell tickets to ride the rides???? Just curious.... Personally, I think $20-$30 ticket prices might help bring in people.... but the rides.... sheesh, at the end of the day, there really isn't any. Yes, a few kid rides.... but so does, broadway, and family kingdom... they need "THRILL" rides. Period.

I've watched a few youtube videos.. home videos made while at/on some of the rides @ Hardrock....
B-O-R-I-N-G.... ) Not worth 50-... not worth 30- as it stands....

They have the right idea.... a HardRock 'theme' park.... but it's way, way, waaaaaay to small. Hell, they'd have to mulitply it's size by 10, if they wanna get away with charging big bucks to get in....

I wouldn't mind seeing them put in a water park somewhere.....

But I don't think they could ever find a spot to put animals.... )
The park really isn't that big, a fraction of the size of most theme parks.

Here's my idea.... stick a casino up.... a big, bad casino with restaurants, a few lounges, maybe a nightclub. This town needs something else other then Celebrity Square and a couple corner waterin' holes.

It WILL make money, jobs WILL be created.... Parents gamble, while the kids play in the theme park...

DONE!
Gimme' that place, I run it.... )

So does Trump....

it's a home run know matter how you look at it...

The town is already a tourist area, why not bring in some money to the state and the town??? It'll attract MORE tourists, more tourists = more money.... more jobs.... more entertainment....

Myrtle beach = beach, restaurants, golf.... oh, and shopping.

Atlantic City is up North and a hole... believe me, I went every other weekend. Vegas is in the middle of a desert in the midwest... Florida has a few casinos, but it's way South of us...
Some rumors I had heard.... Indians (hardrock casinos) and HardRock Parks biggest investors were hoping HardRock park would fail... and since they already owned the land, they could buy time and fight the state about changing it's laws against gambling, in the hopes of dropping a casino in that spot.... But I'm sure it's just rumors...

Coastal Carolinas need either A. Disney... or B. Casinos.

Either one better be ready to fight with people who don't fight fair.

There's already a casino boat that sails out of Little River.

I don't want a casino boat - not the same as AC

I lived in NJ and would go to AC a couple of times, the town itself is horrible, but it was fun to go AC for the weekend.

I also heard the rumor, in regards to the Indians, and the casino.

Overall... you can't compare the two...(freestanding casino vs. a boat with a few slots machines and a bad buffet) ..... but yes, I'm sure the casino boats would put up a fight...somehow, someway...

absolutely it was a 'fun' night out.... I use to live 45 minutes from AC... would do my best NOT to park in any outside garages though.... they're trying to fix AC up, but damn.... it's not helping...

Oh boy, new News out there.
Dcuts is right...........It needs to be 10 times bigger. This park is way, way, too small to charge 30 to 40 to get into it. Ok now, that is just a ten dollar reduction from the old price. NOT good............
Comeon' Myrtle Beach......I know everyone in charge can not be this lame.
I heard the new owner say he will add a "few" rides for the kids.......Mr, Mr, that is not going to cut it. What class did these business fellows graduate from?
Ok Myrtle Beach. I Love YOU.......I come here every year and I want to see you grow and prosper.
But..........
You are now heading in the same direction.
Adding a water park would help...yes. Adding some theme areas.......with vast amounts of rides and fun.....yes...family entertainment fine. Great Adventure owners where are you?
I want them to have a good plan ( proudsoutherner) but I listened and I was just floored.......
I am crossing my fngers, but if this opens on May 31st with the little, tidbit of additions.......
It will close again. This time really being an embarrassment for the area.
What part of " doesn't work" do these investors not get?

It should be like Hershey......or Kings Diminion.......Great Adventure......
Someone take the owners hand and lead him in the right direction......
Take him to see what a Theme park looks like. They are for all day entertainment, and for
all ages.....They are not two roller coasters and a few kiddie rides...Gosh...
