Moving to the Nashville area in a few weeks, and just wondering if I should stock up on some Asian spices and ingredients before we get there. I know that probably sounds silly in this day and age when we can purchase such ingredients online, but I'd also love to have a recommendation of a good Asian market in the area. I've checked on google and found a few, but if you could recommend one, do let me know. Thanks!

I just went to K&S on Nolensville Pike and they've got a pretty good selection of spices and sauces. I like their prices for fresh produce (1.50 for a big package of ginger, $2 for a big bag of bok choy etc). I only stock up because I don't go there very often (and I don't cook a whole lot of asian food). I think K&S is one of the bigger asian/latino markets-I prefer it to some of the other ones I've been to.

Thank you for the info on K&S and especially for the info on the great prices! I'll definitely check out K&S soon!

Sonobana on White Bridge Road is a very small store (attached to a restaurant of the same name), but has a nicely curated collection of Japanese ingredients and products. http://sonobananashville.com/grocery.pdf

Thank you, aaronmidnight. Japanese food (vegetarian) is one of my favorites, so that's very helpful. Will definitely check it out soon.
